What is the DNN Events module?

The DNN Events module renders single and recurring events, includes Master and Sub Calendars with Event Rollup, TimeZone Adjustment, Event Enrollment, Event billing, and Event Notification.The Events module can be used for a multitude of events, e.g. the organization of meetings, training, seminars, user group meetings, and more.
  

 
Rules of beta testing DotNetNuke Events module

This portal is made available to enable people to download the beta version of DotNetNuke Events module version 04.00.02. Downloads of beta versions can be obtained after free registration.

DISCLAIMER The development builds posted here represent the latest compiled versions of the DotNetNuke Events Module. These are beta builds that have not been submitted, nor passed through the DotNetNuke Module Release Process. These builds have received little testing and are made available 'as-is', therefore any usage is at your on risk. Like any beta software it is not recommended to install on production systems. Upgradeability from a beta version to a later beta or production version cannot be guaranteed.

USAGE In consideration for having access to development builds, we would greatly appreciate feedback on the specific issues that each build addresses. Finding and fixing issues during the development process is much simpler and less traumatic that finding them after a new 'official' release is submitted to the release tracker. Please let us know of any issues with development builds in the DotNetNuke Events module forum.
  

Events Table analysis

The Events team has done a thorough analysis of the table structure that is since long used by the Events module. And we have formulated plans for 04.01.00 to improve this structure: better declared referential integrity and column definitions. We will need this for further enhancements of the module. But before we can decide on every aspect we want to improve, we would be greatly helped by statistics of Events tables of production sites, DNN sites that really use (any version of) the Events module.

In order to get this data, we have created a SQL script that reads information form Events tables and shows them in a grid. The SQL does only reads and does not modify any data. So it should be safe to run it in a production environment. You can find the SQL script by clicking on this link.

We ask you to run this SQL script from the SQL option in the Host menu of your site. Just

  • copy the SQL script to the clipboard
  • paste it in the SQL textbox in the Host/SQL menu
  • click execute
  • copy the resulting SQL output
  • paste it in en e-mail to ErnstPeter.Tamminga@dotnetnuke.com, the e-mail address of  Events Team lead

Your results are valuable to us and will be to all other Events module users!
